Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Conceptualize & develop novel/innovative CO2 separation technologies.
Responsible for innovation/invention, planning and execution of lab testing and pilottesting of new solvents for post-combustion carbon capture.
Full responsibility of managing research & demonstration and scale-up projects internaland with global research partners and launch customers
Implement best practices, empirical research methods and establish high standardsacross the organization.
Measure and evaluate progress and results for all projects as well as the department as awhole.
Plan, organize, and supervise the work of direct reports in the research team.
Training and setting the goals for the team on research and products development.
Take initiatives and develop procedures and plans to reduce the projects execution timeand improve quality.
Responsible for defining and negotiating contract research.
Publishing and presenting company’s research in industry conferences and academicsymposia.
Carbon capture technology experience and great all-round knowledge of relevanttechnologies, equipment and operations.
Significant experience with amines/chemicals solvents for CO2 capture
Thorough understanding of lab-scale equipment for measuring VLE, kinetics,corrosion, degradation and thermo-physical properties.
Skills / Abilities
Strong analytical skills, including expertise in the modeling and analysis of data.
Knowledge and ability to implement principles of management, leadership, conflictresolution, negotiation, and motivation.
Demonstrated record of initiative, problem solving, and adaptability.
Candidate must be able to handle in depth technical discussions and will be expected toplay a leading role in new products development.
International experience and previous work in gas processing area would be preferred.
Minium qualifications
Ph.D in chemical engineering or equivalent.
15+ years of R&D experience.
